We had the pleasure of interviewing Guido Brand, Sales & Marketing Manager at MIXACO, a leading manufacturer of mixer systems worldwide.

Can you provide a brief overview of your company and the products/services you'll be showcasing at the event?

MIXACO Dr. Herfeld GmbH & Co. KG is one of the leading manufacturers of mixer systems worldwide for various applications and industries, with more than 50 years of experience. As a completely independent, family-managed company located in Neuenrade, Germany, we can fully concentrate on our core competence, i.e. development and production of industrial mixer systems. In addition to customer-specific mixer solutions, we also offer a range of standard products for universal mixing processes.

In various industries - such as powder coating, masterbatch, compounding in the plastics industry as well as PVC/WPC, rubber, chemical and the food industry - we are recognised as a technology leader. We have also made significant advancements in mixer technology with our innovative container mixer solutions. Over 7,500 MIXACO mixers, renowned for their “made in Germany” quality, ensure optimal efficiency in production processes of our customers. All over the world, leading companies from many industries rely on MIXACO products. 

What recent trends or developments in the industry are you most excited about, and how do your products/services align with them?

I'm excited about three key trends in the industrial mixing industry: automation, sustainability, and advanced materials. Automation is transforming how we approach mixing processes, leading to higher precision and efficiency. Our mixers integrate cutting-edge controls and sensors, providing real-time data and seamless integration into smart factories. Sustainability is crucial, and we’ve developed energy-efficient mixers that minimise waste and maximise resource use, aligning with eco-friendly practices. Lastly, advanced materials are enhancing mixer durability and performance. We utilise innovative materials that extend equipment life and reduce maintenance. Our commitment to these trends ensures we deliver products that not only meet but exceed current industry demands, helping clients optimise their operations sustainably and effectively.

What are your company's goals for the future, and how do you see yourselves contributing to the evolving industry landscape?

The advancements will focus on enhancing efficiency, precision and flexibility to meet the evolving needs of various industries. Moreover, the plastics industry is experiencing a surge in demand for customisation and flexibility. 

What are you most looking forward to at this year’s show?

Openness to listen to the needs of the market, which is constantly changing. The AMI expo is always a space for professional and personal meetings with customers in the sector. Sharing ideas and thoughts that lead to the birth and development of projects and synergies/collaborations - when people come together with ideas then the trade fair has positive results, both in the short and long term.
