Lorena holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Technical University of Dortmund, where she specialized in research within the Chair of Solids Process Engineering. Her academic work focused on the characteristic parameters of co-rotating twin screw extruders, with additional research in additive manufacturing.

In 2022, Lorena joined KraussMaffei Extrusion GmbH as a Process Engineer, contributing to the fields of compounding and recycling. Her role includes the conceptual design, technical specification, and evaluation of cutting-edge technologies, primarily centered around twin-screw extrusion, for innovative compounding and recycling projects.
