Jan studied chemistry at the Free University of Berlin and the ETH Zurich followed by a PhD in Macromolecular and Polymer Chemistry at the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Polymer Research. After several years working at global styrenics supplier Trinseo and INEOS Styrolution Dr. Weiss joined Aliaxis in 2022 and currently works as Head of Materials EMEA (Resins, Additives, Metals & Packaging). In his current position he is bridging several departments like procurement, manufacturing, innovation, sustainability and product stewardship regarding questions concerning raw materials use and implementation.
